Hamilton Classics NEWS 2002December 2002 Happy New Year. We ended the year with a flurry of activity. The '59 A Cabriolet and the '62 B Coupe both sold with contracts for us to do the restorations for the new owners. The Cab will be first and you can follow it's progress on the Current Project page. Both restorations should be complete by mid year. The silver '63 B Coupe is complete and is a fantastic car. I don't expect this car to be around long once it is advertised. November 2002 November was a very busy month for the silver '63 euro (T-6) coupe. All of the assembly work and interior replacement was completed. At month end, the car is running, driving and only in need of a few adjustments and a little trim. The white '63 T-6 was sold and left the end of the month for the Northeast. November also brought a new car in. The newest project to get in line is a "64 C Coupe. This car has the typical undercarriage rust and is missing a few parts. Bali Blue with Grey interior, this will make a very nice car once finished. October 2002 The 356 market seems to be alive and well, or at least we have a lot of folks looking at cars For Sale. Did 2 inspections this month for long distance buyers. (comment: buyers are getting more and more savvy on these little cars, so tell it like it is in your For Sale ads.) The silver '63 euro (T-6) coupe is back from the painters and moving along very well. It should be completed by the end of November. It is going to be a very nice car. Definitely on the high end of the driver scale. September 2002 September saw a '69 VW convertible project come and go (sold on Ebay). Quick little project, but still air cooled. Engine work was also a priority as we built 2 -356 engines for upcoming projects. The silver '63T-6 finally made it to the painters. It should return home by mid October. It's engine is on the test stand and should be all dialed in by the time the body returns. August 2002 The white '63 T-6 is now "For Sale" as a completed car. It is not a show queen, but will be a very enjoyable and dependable driver for it's next owner. It is a matching numbers car and comes with a Cardex Certificate. In July we got a little sidetracked buying some property not far away that will become our new home and larger shop within the next year (more details on that adventure later). As a result, the silver '63 T-6 is still waiting to make the trip to the painters. What's next? We have 2-356 engines scheduled for rebuild and a couple of VW based projects in the coming month. The '59 Cabriolet should be the next 356 project in line, depending on the outcome of a possible "as is" Sale. July 2002 In June, our 1966 912 headed south to San Antonio with it's proud new owner. Mac had been looking for a "new" 912 since his last one was lost in a garage fire. The finishing touches are being put on the white '63 T-6 and the silver '63 T-6 is almost ready to go to the painters.
